Candleholders
with a Candle-Lighting Song Compiled
by: Erika Hansen We
are the Torchbearers. We light the way down the paths of your life,
illuminating your memories and guiding you towards the future. We
provide hope when your journey is rough, and we help you to find the
light at the end of dark tunnels. We are The Candleholders, and we offer
you this Candle-Lighting Song. I
have three candles in my room Slender
and long and white, Their
tips are buds of fire bloom That
blossom every night. And
one I light for memory, All
steady as a star; And
one that burns for days to be, And
one for days that are. I
have three candles in my room Slender
and tall and fair; And
every one a fire bloom, And
every one a prayer. The
prayers you hear are the whispers of yesterday and the dreams for
tomorrow. Often we must look back before we can begin the courageous
quest that lies ahead. A
fugitive touch, filled with lingering Flushes
the senses with dizziness, Those
fleeting feelings, lighting your life Remembered
forever with the permanent ones. A
flicker of flame as the candle winks A
glimpse of Delightful surprise, But
just as quick, it's gone again Mystic
moments bow silent sighs. Another
warm pearl, it quickly falls Joining
the others cast before, A
trail of tears to the cooling pool More
memories added to expanding shore. These
are all we leave behind Those
special moments we begged to stay, Upon
whose horses our dreams are borne As
the candlelight fades away. As
this one light remains, pause for a second and reflect on the precious
moments of our existence, bearing in mind how fragile they tend to be.
For when the light is finally gone, all that will be left as you journey
the path to the future will be the reassurance that the light of faith
within your heart will continue to guide you.
